SoftPLC Corporation provides a variety of industrial enclosures, CPU's, and other options (such as I/O interface boards,
network cards, etc.) and then packages this reliable hardware with our SoftPLC control software. The result... an out-of-the
box SoftPLC-based controller ready for you to program, connect to I/O and other devices, and run your application.
With a single purchase order, you get a cable ready open architecture controller.
SoftPLC Processors include component hardware assemby, SoftPLC and driver software
installation, system configuration, and system level testing. Your job is solving
your production application, not trying to build a PC based control system that
is reliable. SoftPLC's job is to provide you with a reliable controller - and
we do that!

Each SoftPLC Processor includes a metal enclosure, single-board CPU, compact flash, ethernet port,
serial/parallel ports, your selected options (such as I/O interfaces), and SoftPLC runtime software
installation/configuration services. The rugged, compact features of these systems make them ideal
for harsh environments where shock, vibration, dust or high temperatures would damage non-industrial
computers. Thus, you have a reliable, open architecture system that is much more powerful and
flexible than most "hard"-PLCs, yet is reasonably priced.
Most standard system configurations include:
- Industrial Enclosure of heavy duty steel construction with mounting brackets and passive backplane for board level repair
- Power Supply
- Single-board industrial CPU with on-board SDRAM and CompactFlash memory
- Communications Ports - (2) Serial, (1) Parallel
- Ethernet (10 or 10/100MB)
- SoftPLC software and drivers installed and configured
- Your selected options. Available options vary by model, and we
can customize to your specifications. (e.g.: you'll need to specify the I/O interface card or type of I/O
you'll be controlling)
- 1 Year Limited Warranty
- UL, CE rated

When ordering a SoftPLC Processor, specify the Processor catalog
number followed by the suffix specifying the size of the SoftPLC Kernel to be
installed (eg: -LT, -1K, -2K, or -8K). Then, specify any options separately by
catalog number. Of course, your SoftPLC Distributor or sales engineer can
help ensure you select the proper components for your application.
For example, a 6 ISA slot half size system with
capability for 250 inputs and 384 outputs of Profibus I/O, equipped with 4
serial ports would be:
- SoftPLC Processor: IC6-IHL3-1K
- Profibus I/O Interface Card: ICO-DPM30
- 2 Extra serial ports: ICO-SER-12
- UPS (unmounted): ICO-BP280
