Another industry first!!

SoftPLC Corporation now offers SLiCk Convert - an automated service that converts a SLC-500 program (ladder logic and documentation) to a SoftPLC formatted application file. The results of the conversion utility can be loaded into TOPDOC and then run in a SoftPLC In Tealware or other SoftPLC based system.

This service is available via an online servlet. The process is quite simple:

1. From your SLC-500 programming software (eg: RSLogix500), use the File » Save As options to save your program to .SLC format. This will generate a number of files for the logic and program documentation in the proper format for SLiCk Convert.
2. You will then need to input these files into SLiCk Convert using link below which will become active after logging in. Afterwards, you will see a "Program Conversion Report." This report includes:
   1. an I/O Module Conversion Table that shows the SLC-500 modules and addresses and the equivalent SoftPLC In Tealware modules and address assignments.
   2. a table that lists any Data Table Address Relocations that are made during the conversion process
   3. a list of special Data Table files created to handle functions such as PID, MSG, and other more sophisticated routines
   4. a Notes section that details the conversion results including whether any instructions did not convert and any items that may need some additional manual work before using with SoftPLC
   If there are any errors in the .SLC or .SY6 files, an error log will be displayed which will help you make any edits to the file(s) before re-submitting them. You can make the edits with any text editor, such as Notepad.
3. If SLiCk Convert successfully converts your application, then an option will be displayed which will allows for payment. We charge a fee of $195 USD for each application file you have converted. After payment has been made, you will receive an email with the completely converted application file.
4. The converted application is in .XML format. You can use the XML import option in TOPDOC NexGen to load the file and convert it to a SOFTPLC.APP for use with TOPDOC and SoftPLC.
