A wide range of I/O modules are available for the Tealware system. These I/O modules include many features to make installation and maintenance easy.
- Detachable front-end terminal block for easy module replacement without re-wiring
- Front Panel LED display for status monitoring/troubleshooting
- High noise immunity
- Module addressing based on location, not DIP switch for easy identification, system configuration, & maintenance (auto-configure available)
- Digital I/O modules are hot swappable under power
- Low power consumption means nearly all configurations are possible - load your bases with virtually any module combination!

A Remote Base can accommodate the power supply module, I/O Adapter module
and 4, 6, or 8 I/O modules. A typical system consists of:
- A CPU, such as a SoftPLC Hardbook
- A remote base and optional expansion I/O bases
- Power supply module
- Various I/O modules
Expansion I/O bases for 6 or 8 I/O modules are available. You can connect up
to 3 expansion bases to any remote base. The maximum distance from a remote base to the
last expansion base is 30 feet.
Ethernet Remote I/O Adapters
Ethernet Remote I/O Adapters provide a Modbus TCP connection to remote Tealware I/O. Each remote drop can consist of a remote base
with an Ethernet I/O adapter and up to 3 expansion I/O bases. You can connect up to 16 remote drops,
for up to 16,384 I/O points.
Fiber optic network connections are available via converters, for longer distances or more reliable communications
in noisy environments.
