SoftPLC offers a low cost, distributed I/O product line, which we call the A Series. Modules are available for ethernet, serial and wireless configurations. Also provided are ethernet switches and media converters.

The A Series modules provide cost-effective protection and conditioning for a wide range of industrial control signals and systems. These modules are ideal when you need to distribute a small number of I/O points in one or several locations and you don't want to incur the cost of a bus network (eg: Profibus, DeviceNet), or when you want to use wireless communication to I/O in locations where running cables is inconvenient or not cost-effective.

Example applications include HVAC controls, sorting conveyors, utilities, and more. For example, one SoftPLC system is a weather station controller that reports the current weather to a web page.
